California 'bombogenesis' storm pushes north

A terrible storm caused the death of at least five people last Friday and early Saturday at southern California.

Meteorologists defined this weather phenomenon as “a rapidly deepening extratropical cyclonic low-pressure area” or shorter, "bombogenesis".

At this moment it was found an amount of five deaths caused by the fierce storm, and we hope there won't be anymore.

A man was found dead in the Sherman Oaks area of Los Angeles. This happened when a tree fell and pulled a power line on to his car.

Another person died when his car was drowned by a sudden flood in Victorville.

There were found two others in San Diego that died in car accidents.

The last one died when he was dragged into a creek in Ventura country.

 

The unusual storm, besides of killing five people, caused a lot of damage. An example of it is when in Los Angeles two cars fell into a sinkhole.

Something similar happened to this fire truck, which felt after part of a freeway went down because of the heavy rain.

Furthermore, a lot of vehicles where stucked because of a huge flood in a road in Williams, north California. 

At least 180.000 people were evacuated from their houses in the north of the state and a lot of orders were lifted.
